Dale won first place with the aircraft in the senior flying scale event at the 1949 National Model Airplane Championship, and also took first place in the 1950 Nationals held in Dallas, Texas.

Dale Kirn Enters Detroit Contest

Salina, Kansas

     Dale Kirn, 231 North Penn, will enter the scale model of a B-25 plane with which he took first place in the national contest in Dallas, Tex., late in July, at the international model plane meeting in Detroit this week.

     The same plane recently took first place for Kirn's division in a Kansas contest in Topeka.

     The Salina plane maker will take four of his models to Detroit. His trip is being sponsored by Plymouth dealers of Salina including the Marshall Motor company, Sid Bacon Motor company, and the Paul Swarts Motor company.

The last flight was in August 1950 at Plymouth International Championship in Detroit, Michigan. It took third place in flying scale.
