This is Victor Stanzel Shark P-60 G-line model built by Dale Kirn to be displayed in a new museum that will open up in Schulenburg, Texas. This model is powered with a rubber band - believe it or not.

The piece of wire on the starboard side of the fuselage is where the single line is attached to the plane

Yep - this plane is rubber band powered - the only modification to the original plans that Dale made was using a free wheeling prop attachment.

The elevator is preset on the ground and is flown until it runs out of power

Special Thanks to Dale Kirn!

I would like to thank Dale Kirn to who took time away from his busy schedule to allow me to photograph this very special model airplane. Dale is one of our CL pioneers who has affected the history of our sport. He has made significant contributions that we all benefit from.
